As our Behavioural Science Associate, you’ll enable, design, and deliver behaviour change interventions. You’ll also uncover the causal impact of our work through a breadth of approaches to statistical analysis and communicate our insights to our key stakeholders, while building on your experience in relationship and project management in a commercial setting. In addition, you’ll be eager to advocate for behavioural science, translate our findings, and inspire new audiences to explore our work. Lastly, we want you to bring your unique ideas to our work. We are a small team and the ideas and perspectives we bring are more than the sum of their parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working together with a tight-knit team to design and implement experiments with an attention to detail that you’re proud of.

  • Analysing quantitative and qualitative data.

  • Supporting day-to-day project management and stakeholder engagement.

  • Researching and synthesising behavioural literature to inform experimental design.

  • Assisting in business development activities (e.g., new partner outreach, content creation, business lead research).

  • Overseeing the organisation and logistics of partner events and meetings.

YOU’LL BRING

We’re a small, growing company, so you should expect - and enjoy - plenty of diversity, pace, and entrepreneurialism. We’ve left the salary banding broad - we’re open to recent grads looking for their first behavioural science job, through to proven, established behavioural scientists with experience doing this work. Our ‘must bring’ requirements include:

  • Demonstrable technical expertise, underpinned by work experience and/or a Master's degree or equivalent in economics, behavioural science, data science or experimental psychology.

  • Experience and demonstrable projects with experimental design platforms such as Qualtrics, and STATA, Python or R data analysis software (a thorough statistical analysis of a controlled experiment will be part of our assessment process, and this will be judged as a critical skill). It is important that you are fluent in explaining your analysis approach and decisions to the team and partners, as this is a big part of the role.

  • Experience in applying behavioural science or psychology to real-world problems, including the design and statistical analysis of randomised controlled trials (although this last part can be from your university days).

  • The ability to translate research insights into actionable points and compelling communications for practitioners.

  • An entrepreneurial mindset, a proactive personality, and a passion for helping create a better, fairer world of work. Bonus points if you can bring an understanding of organisational and people related challenges.

WE’LL PROVIDE

  • £30-45k depending on experience (BSA 30-40k, SBSA 40-45k), plus 5% pension contribution.

  • 25 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays. We operate a flexible bank holiday policy so folks can enjoy public holidays and celebrations outside of the UK-designated days. And we shut down the office for one week over the Christmas period.

  • Quarterly bonus based on organisational performance and targets.

  • A brilliant office in Shoreditch full of light and plants where we enjoy working together. We all regularly work from home when that’s what’s best. We’re also open to people working from anywhere up to 4 weeks per year, especially when folks have friends and family outside of the UK – subject to a discussion on making it work.

HIRING TIMELINE

  • Applications open: 8 September 2026

  • Applications close: 21 September 2026

  • First round phone interviews: 23 September 2026 – 2 October 2026

  • Second round in-person interviews and case study/statistical analysis presentation: 5 October – 16 October 2026

If you move through the process, we will ask you to work on a case study to test your statistical and communication skills. You will receive a dataset and be asked to perform statistical analyses to understand the causal effects of an intervention. You’ll then present your results and insights as part of the second stage interview. Please only apply if you are confident in your ability to demonstrate those skills, and explain your approach and code.
